Our Story

History of AMJCS

Australian Muslim Janaza and Community Service Inc. is a non -profit organisation, run by volunteers from the Muslim Community for the benefit of the Australian Muslim Community. The organisation was established to provide essential community services to the Australian Muslim Community. Funeral services are one of the most essential services required by the community and AMJCS has set up Shahzeb Janaza Services Pty Ltd to provide this service to the Muslim community.

Established in 2011, we have completed over 1000 funerals. We provide a complete service in a very professional and sensitive manner.

Our funeral services are rated as the best Muslim Mortuary by NSW Health Department.

We also work with Australian Immigration department to provide funeral services for new arrivals and refugees.

Urgent requirement of a Muslim Cemetery

The most immediate need for the Muslims is a cemetery of their own. Currently, there are no Muslim cemeteries in NSW/ACT. The most important objective for AMJCS is to acquire a Cemetery for the Muslim Community.

  • Why a Muslim owned Cemetery is required in NSW/ACT.
    • Current costs of burial plots in Muslim sections are staggeringly high and are unaffordable by many Muslim families.
    • Shortage of land/grave plots into the future at current locations
    • Rising costs for the future.
  • Benefits of Muslim owned Cemetery
    • 24/7 availability of cemetery facilities.
    • Low cost.
    • Convenience of mortuary (ghusl facility), Janaza facility and burial at the same location.
    • Land size large enough to ensure long term solution to current grave plot shortage issue.
